Both Deceased Students Revealed in the Ivy League School Shooting as Police Continue Hunt for Gunman.

Both young individuals who were killed in Saturday’s mass shooting on the university campus were honored at the start of the week – as a manhunt for their shooter carried on following the discharge by authorities in Rhode Island of the single suspect questioned in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was called “an amazing, stable, pious, radiant soul”, per the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which paid tribute to her at a ceremony on Sunday.

Cook was second-in-command of Brown’s branch of the campus GOP group, the group said. Karoline Leavitt also shared condolences publicly, stating: “There are no words. Thinking of her loved ones and companions, especially her parents.”

MukhammadAziz Umurzokov

The second fatality was an Uzbek national named MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, from Uzbekistan in his freshman year at the renowned school, according to relatives.

His name was verified by the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“He possessed remarkable kindness, humor, and intelligence. He harbored grand aspirations of entering the field of neurosurgery and aiding others,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a tribute.

The Shooting Incident

Nine more persons were hurt in the violent event in the school of engineering of Brown’s university in Providence, during the university's examination week.

Authorities said late Sunday that a 24-year-man detained in a search at a hotel about 17 miles from the campus earlier in the day was set to be freed.

“We have a murderer out there,” declared the state's top prosecutor, Peter Neronha.

He added, “Occasionally a probe goes down a path, and then you must reassess and pursue a different angle, and that is the current situation over the last day or so.”

Public Fear

Providence’s mayor, Brett Smiley, admitted: “This will probably generate new worry for our community”.

The gunman opened fire inside a room in the building on over the weekend, firing more than 40 rounds from a 9mm handgun, a authority reported to the Associated Press.

Law enforcement that searched the lodging recovered two handguns and magazines when the person of interest was detained, according to reports.

Those Hurt

Of the nine hurt, one pupil was allowed to go home, mentioned Christina Paxson, Christina Paxson. Seven others were in critical but stable condition, and one was in critical condition, authorities stated on Sunday.
